Application User Interface

The application has 3 main views:

• Roll: Where you roll dice.
• Dice Gallery: Where you view and select specific dice/table combinations.
• Settings: Where you adjust all application settings.

Roll View

This is where you roll dice! Shake your iPad or touch the Roll button to roll dice. Change dice by touching the Games button to view the Games Gallery.

You can roll up to six dice at a time. The number of dice is adjustable from the Settings view. To hold a die (or dice) between rolls, simply touch the die or dice and the chosen dice will be placed in the dice holder at the bottom of the screen. To move a die back onto the table, simply touch the die in the holder and it will be moved back onto the table.

For more information about your current dice and table, touch the small info button in the corner of the table.

Games Gallery

The Games Gallery is where you view your games. A game is a combination of a set of dice and a table specific to those dice. To roll a specific die or set of dice, touch the die to select that combination of dice and table and return to the Roll view.

Settings View

The Settings view is where you adjust all MotionX-Dice HD application settings.

• Help: This button brings you to the Help page.
• Feedback: Use the Feedback button to send us feedback and suggestions on MotionX-Dice HD. We love hearing from our users, so please send us your thoughts!
• Legal: This button brings you to MotionX-Dice HD's legal notices.
• Soundtrack On / Off: Turns on and off the musical soundtrack. The soundtrack is "Haru No Umi" which can be found in its entirety at this link. Note that turning on the soundtrack while your iPod music is currently playing will stop iPod playback.
• Sounds On / Off: This turns on and off all sound effects including dice collisions, button presses and other sound effects.
• Number of Dice: This allows you to control the number of dice from one to six on the main Roll view.

Q1. “What is MotionX-Dice HD?”

A1. With incomplete information or uncertain knowledge, making decisions becomes a matter of statistical analysis and intuition. What stocks to buy, sell or hold? Which team should play first? Where should we go tonight? For over 5,000 years, humans have been casting dice to help make predictions and decisions. Now you can have all the fun!

Q2. “How do I roll the dice?”

A2. The dice can be rolled either by shaking your device or by using the Roll button.

Q3. “May I choose the number of dice displayed on the table?”

A3. The number of dice present on the table can be controlled in two different ways. First, you can move any number of dice to the hold bar at the bottom by simply touching the dice. Second, you can go to the Settings page and choose the number of dice which are to be displayed.

Q4. “Can I roll different types of dice at the same time?”

A4. In this version of MotionX-Dice HD, rolling dice from more than one set at the same time isn't supported. Watch MotionX.com for future releases with more functionality.
